Pembroke Castle has hosted UB40, The Fratellis and Jools Holland recently, whilst KT Tunstall is performing at Cardigan Caste this month.
St Davids Cathedral’s annual music festival, held in May, hosts everything from the brilliant Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain, The BBC National Orchestra of Wales to male voice choirs, organ recitals and chamber concerts.
Tenby holds it annual Jazz and Blues Festival in November whilst Fishguard Music Festival, held from 20th July-2nd August this year hosts, amongst others, baritone Bryn Terfel; the Welsh National Opera Orchestra, harpist Hannah Stone with actress, Jenny Agutter, as Reader.
In Rhosygilwen’s famous green oak concert hall you can enjoy the musical West Side Story, listen to Martin Simpson, one of the world’s premiere acoustic guitarists; enjoy a performance of Ma Bessie’s Blues Troup or the Swedish Folk’Apella or attend the Proms; whilst the tiny Burnetts Hill Chapel has hosted everyone from Woody Pines to the Lonesome Ace String Band – an old time American music trio.
Opera buffs can enjoy outdoor performances at Lampeter House, Pembrokeshire and those living in Carmarthenshire are well catered for too with the annual Llandeilo Music Festival, also held in July.
