“Sketty and Killay are both pleasant, good-value areas, but for anyone having to drive to work outside the city, the traffic is a drawback,” says Carol Peett, managing director of West Wales Property Finders.
“Young couples should look at the new houses built in Gorseinon and Penllergaer, both close to the M4, where you can find a three- or four-bedroom detached home for between £180,000 and £220,000.”
