Haverfordwest, SA61 in Pembrokeshire and Carmarthen, SA31 in Carmarthenshire are two of the most desirable places to live according to a new Royal Mail survey. Morriston, SA6, just to the north of Swansea and Penarth, CF64 were also listed in the top locations. SA4, SA7 and SA9, all in Swansea, also appeared in the top 10 in Wales with LL11 (Wrexham) being the only location in North Wales to make the list.
Neilston, south-west of Glasgow, came out top in Scotland, Bebingston in the Wirral polled best in England, and Craigavon was rated best in Northern Ireland.
The study, conducted by the Centre for Economic and Business Research, looked at green spaces, affordable housing and commuting times.
Seven northern locations, including Dalton-in-Furness in Cumbria, were in the top 10 in England, the survey said.
South West Wales regularly appears in surveys of the most desirable places to live due to its stunning scenery, glorious beaches, low rates of crime and thriving community spirit.
