A Pembrokeshire secondary school is leading the way with an unique educational programme promoted and championed by Hollywood star, Goldie Hawn.
St Davids School (Ysgol Dewi Saint) is the only secondary school in the UK offering pupils the Hawn Foundation’s Secondary MindUP programme. The programme is taught to all Year 7 pupils along with the Mindfulness in Schools programme for years 10 and 11.
The programme aims to aid academic success by helping pupils focus during learning and keep calm during periods of exam stress.
St Davids School’s Assistant Head Teacher attended the Foundation conference in London where she met Goldie Hawn who, she says, was very interested in hearing about the programme in practice.
