The latest data from the Land Registry on sold prices for Wales shows an annual price increase of 5.5% for the year up to the end of September 2017, taking the average property value to £152,661. House prices overall in Wales increased 0.6% in the month.
The highest annual increase in Wales has been in detached properties with flats and maisonettes recording the lowest rise at 4.2%.
In contrast, London saw an annual price growth of just 2.5%, with a monthly price fall in September of 0.2%
