Dinosaurs will soon be seen roaming West Wales as a Ceredigion beach is, once again, to star on the silvery screen. Penbryn is to be one of the locations for the filming of the new Jurassic World film, Jurassic World 2. Other scenes will be shot in the Brecon Beacons and at Pinewood.
The beach, just north of Cardigan doubled as North Korea in the James Bond film, Die Another Day.
Jeff Goldblum will be returning to his role as Professor Ian Malcolm having starred in the first Jurassic Park film in 1993 and its sequel, The Lost World, in 1997. Jurassic World stars Bryce Dallas Howard and Chris Pratt who will be reprising their roles as Claire and Owen.
West Wales is used frequently for filming. Pembrokeshire is currently masquerading as Devon in the wonderful “Their Finest” starring Bill Nighy, Gemma Arterton, Sam Claflin and Richard E Grant; whilst it doubled as Cornwall in Harry Potter & The Deathly Hallows. Robin Hood, starring Russell Crowe was filmed on Pembrokeshire’s Freshwater West Beach; whilst Snow White & The Huntsman was shot on Marloes beach. Me Before You and Bad Education were both filmed in Pembroke in 2016.
