Tenby Golf Club in Pembrokeshire was awarded the title “Golf Union of Wales/Future Financials Golf Club of the Year 2014” at an awards ceremony held at Celtic Manor Golf Resort recently. The award also recognises the work the Club has carried out over the past year to protect part of the dune structure on the golf course/beach shoreline.
Tenby Golf Club was established in 1888 (when the membership was 5 shillings a month) and is regarded as the birthplace of golf in Wales, as well as one of the finest championship links courses in the country. It is a pleasure to play affording glorious views over Tenby’s South Beach and Caldey Island.
In addition to the world ranked championship links course Tenby now has an eight bay covered driving range, a state of the art teaching studio and a refurbished club house.
