The coronavirus pandemic has made many people think about where they live, how they live and their homes, having spent many months inside and based at the property.
Aspects of where people live, such as access to outdoor space and surrounding natural environment, are appearing to become key proprieties, whether that’s in a city, town or village. More than 1,400 places were considered and research has found people are now looking for access to great outdoor space.
With this noticeable shift in a potential buyer’s wish list, company Garrington Property Finders have researched and constructed a league table of the best places to live post-Covid.
The property hotspot list is based on criteria such as natural beauty, quality of life and beautiful buildings.
As official ONS data reveals that over a third of Britons are still working entirely from home, access for at least 95% of residents to superfast broadband at a named location was also a consideration.
Price was not seen as a criteria to include, as the study was based on quality of life and not property value for money.
Each location was scored for its proximity to open water, national parks and areas of outstanding natural beauty.
Marks were awarded for the number of listed and period homes, as well as modern ultra-energy-efficient homes and each area was ranked for its air quality, crime figures and how many farm shops there are within a three-mile radius.

The company’s league table considered more than 1400 cities, towns and villages across the country and Tenby has been revealed as the best post-Covid place to live in Wales.
The pretty coastal town also came second in the national ranking with only the historic Roman spa city of Bath beating it to the top spot…..
