Bond Girl, Gemma Arterton, is just one of the Hollywood stars bound for Pembrokeshire next week when, yet again, Pembrokeshire plays a starring role on the silver screen.
Bill Nighy, star of numerous films including The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy & Love Actually and Richard E Grant (Withnail & I, Bright Young Things, Dracula, Penelope) are just two of the starts who join Gemma on the set of the big screen adaptation of Lissa Evans’s novel “Their Finest Hour and a Half”. Filming of the romantic comedy set, during the Blitz, will take place around Pembrokeshire starting on Tuesday, 29th September and continuing for several weeks. Locations will include Trewcwm, Haverfordwest; Freshwater West; Cresswell Quay and Porthgain.
Pembrokeshire is now an oft chosen location for filming with Hollywood blockbusters such as Robin Hood starring Russell Crowe, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows and Snow White and the Huntsmen being shot here in recent years. Earlier this year both “Me Before You” starring Emilia Clarke and “Bad Education” starring Jack Whitehall were filmed in Pembroke.
